esm-logo-identity

This was a nice project to work on to develop a logo identity for Evolution, a sports management company dealing with professional sports people. The logo needed a clean, crisp and professional look that portrayed a feeling of trust. Simplicity and flexibility is key when creating a new identify and in this case the circles that make up the top icon represent many aspects. Firstly, a stylised ‘E’ form. Secondly, the colours of the Olympic branding giving a nod to the industry of the customer base. Thirdly, the circles are aligned in an ordered manner and depict clean organisation values.

This was a great project to work on for our existing client. Christian needed a statement piece of literature to showcase his bespoke furniture to public sector customers. With such a high quality range of photography available we decided on a 210 x 210mm format to give the best viewing experience whilst keeping it a nice size in the hand. ‘Less is more’ was the order of the day to let the images do the talking. 16 pages in total, with matt lamination to cover. We also organised and handled the print and delivery of the final brochure.

pt-14-macbook

This is the brand new website design for Poppy Treffry Ltd that Carta produced in late 2014. This was a total ground up re-design implementing a more contemporary airy feel. The design layout had to be flexible enough to work responsively on PC, tablet and smartphone screens. We worked alongside the web developers Inspired Development in Bodmin who build the website from the designs we produced. We are very proud of the outcome.

jd-care-pack

Justin returned to work with us to help him produce his new packaging. Whilst Justin undertook sourcing the box element we concentrated on the care pack and leaflet that would sit inside along with the brochure we had already produced for Justin last year. The care pack is printed onto a C8 manilla envelope, like the old school money envelopes, and the care leaflet sits within along with the metal scourer and cleaning cloth.

spearbay-logo-625

Spearbay are a new online start-up business based in Penzance. They contacted Carta for help with their company logo design. We worked together to develop an identity that would compete in the fishing industry with it’s competitors. The identity needed to be simple, bold and have an element of ‘does what it says on the tin’ to explain itself visually. Using the negative space created by the font and the ‘P’ as grip and trigger, we were able to subtly incorporate a speargun silhouette into the company name. The logo also needed to be used in various marketing situation from embroidery to stickers in solid, negative, colour and monotone configurations. www.spearbay.co.uk

louise-parry-leaflet

Louise contacted Carta after seeing some design work we had produced for LoCo Glass, one off her business neighbours, in Cirencester. The brief was to produce a simple leaflet card that could be mailed to existing customers. The cover mimics the signature design style of Louise’s rings with a band across the centre. We chose a standard A5 size but folded this lengthways to make a tall elegant shape.

efs-website

Emma contacted us after seeing examples of our website design online. She liked our style of work and we liked her product and we hit it off from our first phone call. This is the second incarnation of Emma’s Fabric Studio’s website after the first one we did quickly outgrew it’s cababilities with Emma’s rapid growth of products and respective sales. This new design was built on the Magento system and is much better equipped and handling thousands of items for sale. We worked alongside illustrator Julene Harrison to design the header and footer cut-outs. These then formed Emma’s new logo and other branding elements. Emma and us here at Carta will continue to work together to update the graphical side of the website on a regular basis to keep it fresh.
