Justin Duance / Brochure Design

March 31, 2011By adminGraphic Design

This is the second brochure I’ve designed for Justin. This time Justin wanted a more utilitarian / traditional feel; something that harked back to the old packaging boxes of the 30’s. After liaising with Headland Printers on various paper swatches we went for a pulpboard cover and 100% recycled Cyclus inner pages. Cyclus is an … Read More

This is the eleventh book design I have produced for Ecademy Press and the second for the Author, Nigel Vardy. Nigel is a fantastic guy and client to work with. Once again, he gave me free reign on the design and feel for the book. For some inspiration I always read a few chapters of … Read More

Penwith House / Photography

February 26, 2011By adminPhotography

Penwith House is a spacious self-catering town house in St Just. The owner wanted to improve the photo gallery section of their website with new interior shots. The challenge was to shoot in December with little natural light. Extra photographic lighting and a bit of post-shoot retouching ensured a colour correct finish.

Bristol based jewellery designer, Zöe Bassi, commissioned me to produce a hand-out mini-brochure for use at shows and to mail out to potential customers. Zöe wanting something different from the other examples she had seen before. This 8 page fold-out design is fun as it allowed to run the design seamlessly across both sides to … Read More

This was a product brochure design for the Interior design shop French Grey Interiors, Cirencester. Debbie Lord / Photography

August 10, 2010By adminPhotography

Debbie’s glass fusion pictures are full of bright colours depicting Cornish scenes. Because of the reflections caused by the glass, photographing them is a little more tricky. Using a light tent to house the pictures for shooting eliminated unwanted reflections from surrounding objects. Lighting came from top and sides for even colour. A bit of … Read More

Betty Boyns / Logo design

August 6, 2010By adminBranding & Logos

Betty Boyns specialises in vintage and retro inspired images, producing wrapping paper, fabrics and other homeware products. The logo brief was to have a vintage feel that reflected the name behind the business and for this I decided to use a photographic element. The image of Betty taken in the 40’s had such a great … Read More

ARLA / Logo

June 9, 2010By adminBranding & Logos

Logo design for kitchen and bathroom designers ARLA Design. The brief was very open apart from a modern clean feel. I used a font called DIN as the basis for the wording and then set about modifying it. I wanted the letters sit next to one another without any  jarring angles. By cutting away the … Read More
